Responsibilities
- Solve problems for fellow Dremio engineers by leveraging and contributing to playbooks, identifying short term workarounds, and automating processes.
- Work on infrastructure across all major clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Manage access to key infrastructure.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and associated systems to increase organizational efficiency.
- Automate local development workflows.
- Analyze performance bottlenecks, root cause issues, file defects, follow up with developers, and document resolutions.
- Keep development branches 'green'.
- Release engineering - automating processes to push software to delivery endpoints.
- Report on the status, reliability and robustness of CI/CD systems.
- Actively participate in code reviews.
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S in Computer Science or in a related technical field.
- 1+ years of experience on large scale distributed systems.
- Comfortable navigating the fast moving, unstructured nature of a hyper-growth startup.
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Basic understanding of cloud networking and cloud architecture.
- Proficiency in any of Java/C++/Python/Go.
- Knowledge of Maven or similar build environments.
- Hands on experience in pipeline automation using CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
- Experience in Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience with Terraform, BASH, Docker, Jenkins, and Kubernetes.
- Ability to write technical reports, effectively summarizing key data.
- Passion for learning and delivering solutions using latest technologies.
- Strong affinity for collaboration and teamwork.
