About the company
At Braze, we have found our people. We’re a genuinely approachable, exceptionally kind, and intensely passionate crew.
We seek to ignite that passion by setting high standards, championing teamwork, and creating work-life harmony as we collectively navigate rapid growth on a global scale while striving for greater equity and opportunity – inside and outside our organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead high-level "Future State" architecture workshops, mapping how Braze interacts with the broader enterprise stack (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, S3 and other blob storage, Salesforce, Adobe)
- Navigate complex technical committees and address concerns from Architecture, Engineering, Information Security, Data Governance, and Systems Integration teams
- Identify potential technical blockers early in the sales cycle and design creative, scalable workarounds that do not compromise platform stability
- Design and lead proof-of-value engagements that give prospects the evidence they need to make a confident technical selection
- Set realistic expectations, anticipating delivery constraints and surfacing risks before close, so what we propose is what customers successfully run in production
- Develop best-practice blueprints for common enterprise scenarios (e.g., multi-instance global deployments) to be reused across the Solutions organization
- Speak about building with Braze and strong integration architecture approaches at conferences and industry events
Requirements
- Advanced System Design: Expertise in designing composable solutions and understanding the trade-offs between various integration methods (batch ingestion vs. real-time streaming vs. federated audience management)
- Data Strategy & Usage Patterns: Deep knowledge of how data is ingested, accessed, cleansed, and moved across an enterprise, including a strong grasp of data pipeline technologies (home-grown vs. dbt vs. warehouse-native tools like Snowflake Streams and Tasks)
- Change Management Consulting: The ability to advise prospects on the organizational changes required to support a modern engagement platform (e.g., Center of Excellence setup)
- Market & Ecosystem Acumen: Deep familiarity with the architecture and design patterns of the primary platforms in the market, from the legacy Marketing Clouds to modern composable stacks
- Experience: 7+ years in customer-facing technical roles (Solutions Architecture, Solutions Consulting, Sales Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, technical consulting) at B2B SaaS or data platform companies. Pre-sales experience is a strong preference, as is hands-on familiarity with the technologies our prospects run: martech platforms (e.g., Iterable, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe), CDPs (e.g., Segment, mParticle), and the modern data stack (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Amazon Redshift, etc)
Conditions
- For candidates based in the United States, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $158,000 and $236,000/year, with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $197,000 and $295,000/year (including bonus or commission).
- In addition to cash compensation, this role qualifies for a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes equity grants of restricted stock (RSUs).
