Responsibilities
- Own and deliver quarterly goals for your team, leading engineers through ambiguity to solve open-ended problems.
- Support peers and stakeholders in the product development lifecycle by collaborating with product management, design, and analytics.
- Take ownership of your team’s operations and availability, ensuring monitoring, triage rotations, playbooks, policies, testing and alerting are in place.
- Proactively identify project, process, technology, or business issues, advocate for them, and lead in solving them.
- Foster a culture of quality and ownership by setting or improving code review and design standards.
- Help develop talent on your team by providing feedback and guidance.
Requirements
- Experience leading significant mobile initiatives (React Native or native), including defining architecture and maintaining high reliability.
- Working across React Native and native boundaries (Swift/Kotlin), debugging platform-specific issues and improving developer tooling, CI/CD, and release processes.
- Implementing experimentation, feature flagging, and analytics instrumentation in mobile applications.
- Shipping web apps using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue.
- Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript.
- 4+ years of experience as a software engineer.
- Designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using technologies like Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
