About the role
Elastic is looking for a Senior FP&A Analyst to join our India finance team. You will support financial planning, reporting, and analysis for our global finance function — and help make our finance processes faster and smarter using AI tools.
Responsibilities
- Financial Partnership: Act as a trusted finance partner to business and functional leaders, providing timely reporting, dashboards, and visibility into operational spend.
- Reporting & Analysis: Deliver management reporting packages, business scorecards, and financial models for senior leadership. Build and maintain dashboards using Tableau, Sigma, or similar tools.
- Forecasting & Budgeting: Support rolling forecasts, annual budgeting, and monthly budget vs. actual analysis using Pigment. Monitor KPIs, highlight trends, and deliver clear variance commentary.
- Core Finance Operations: Own month-end and quarter-end close activities including expense accruals, journal entries, variance analysis, and supporting schedules.
- Technology & Business Transformation: Lead re-engineering of FP&A processes using AI tools (Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Gemini) and Excel. Propose and implement new tools, drive automation adoption across finance, and upskill teams. Ensure accurate reconciliation across Adaptive, Pigment, Workday, and NetSuite.
Requirements
- 5–8 years in a finance function with exposure to business transformation, process re-engineering, or finance automation. CA / MBA / CMA preferred.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools (Copilot, Claude, Gemini, or similar) in a finance workflow.
- Experience with Pigment, Adaptive, or NetSuite is a strong plus.
- Transformation Mindset: Spots manual, repetitive processes and drives smarter alternatives.
- Collaboration & Teaching: Works cross-functionally, shares knowledge, and coaches peers on automation and new tools.
- Communication: Simplifies financial complexity for non-finance stakeholders at all levels.
- Detail Orientation: Delivers accurate, high-quality work consistently in a fast-paced environment.
