Responsibilities

• Own the internal developer platform end to end: CI/CD pipelines, build and deployment workflows, canary and blue-green releases, self-service tools, ephemeral environments
• Design and implement AI-enabled development workflows and automation for coding agents
• Measure developer productivity and software delivery performance, identify bottlenecks, implement improvements
• Take operational ownership of infrastructure, participate in Core Infrastructure on-call rotation
• Define technical direction and engineering standards for building, configuring, testing, and deploying services
• Mentor less experienced engineers
• Collaborate with product engineering teams on developer tools, frameworks, internal APIs
• Develop and maintain standardized development pathways and tooling
• Share technical decisions and learnings across a distributed team
• Explore improvements to infrastructure efficiency and integrate AI capabilities

Requirements

• Strong experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS; GCP also considered
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience in production
• Infrastructure-as-code experience: Terraform (preferred), Pulumi, CloudFormation, Ansible
• Strong CI/CD expertise: build, test, deployment, preview-environment workflows
• Experience with DORA, SPACE, or similar engineering productivity frameworks
• Ability to operate production systems, troubleshoot incidents, on-call rotation
• Solid software engineering background building and maintaining applications
• Strong understanding of developer experience and code ergonomics
• Excellent asynchronous communication skills for remote collaboration
• Proactive, independent problem-solving approach
• Comfort with evolving priorities and ambiguous requirements
• Advantageous: AI development tools, coding agents, LLM-based workflows; MCP servers and agent integration; payments/fintech/regulated industries
