Responsibilities
- Define the long-term mission, charter, and ownership boundaries for a newly formed team
- Develop and maintain a coherent, high-impact roadmap balancing foundational investments with active initiatives
- Define the strategy for ingesting large volumes of data from numerous sources
- Partner with engineering to design scalable, resilient, and maintainable ingestion systems
- Institutionalize AI and automation as force multipliers
- Establish instrumentation and success metrics (ingestion reliability, pipeline latency, data freshness, change failure rate)
- Drive improvements in observability, monitoring, and operational excellence
- Identify and drive architectural simplifications
- Create transparency and open feedback loops with engineers and senior leadership
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Lead or Senior Platform Product Manager in data infrastructure, distributed systems, or developer platform environments
- Deep understanding of data architecture and large-scale systems; experience with event-driven systems, high-volume ingestion pipelines
- Technical fluency in pipelines, infrastructure, and system evolution
- AI-forward mindset
- Fluency in measuring success via engineering productivity, quality, and reliability metrics
- Proven ability to define structure in ambiguous, newly forming teams
- Bias for action
