QA Automation Engineer

• Partner is looking for a QA Automation Engineer based in India.
• Delivering reliable, high-quality software for the global broadcast and media technology industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop new automated test cases and maintain or extend existing automated test suites.
• Test complex software systems to verify functionality, reliability, and overall quality.
• Execute automated tests, analyze failures, identify root causes, and report defects clearly.
• Review test source code to maintain quality and consistency across the automation suite.
• Collaborate with developers to validate bug fixes and expand automated test coverage.
• Write and maintain documentation for automated tests and testing procedures.
• Prepare clear test reports and communicate findings to team members.
• Contribute scripts and procedures to improve testing efficiency and streamline QA workflows.
• Build understanding of broadcast industry standards, including hardware/software interactions.
• Collaborate with QA colleagues in India and Canada.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional experience as a QA Engineer or in software quality assurance.
• Strong Python programming skills and hands-on test automation experience.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience administering Linux systems; familiarity with Ubuntu and Windows required.
• Experience with Bash scripting; system administration expertise is an advantage.
• Knowledge of testing processes and methodologies; ISTQB Foundation certification or equivalent.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with AWS or cloud-based environments.
• Willingness to learn and test a complex system with hardware and software components.
• Excellent written English and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Availability to work 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. IST.
