Responsibilities
- Translate user interfaces across Chess.com Web and Mobile, ChessKid, Dr Wolf, and other apps.
- Translate marketing campaigns, Coach analysis, Game Review, and courses.
- Translate and edit graphical assets.
- Review submitted translations for quality.
Requirements
- Passion for chess and strong knowledge of chess terminology.
- Professional experience translating complex texts between English and Japanese.
- Native or near-native fluency in both languages and exceptional linguistic knowledge.
- Basic graphic editing skills.
- Responsive, collaborative, effective time management, and ability to meet tight deadlines, occasionally within 24–48 hours, including weekends or holidays.
