About the company

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director of Product based in United States.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the product organization: Manage and coach four direct reports, including three Senior Technical Program Managers and one Design Lead, providing feedback, setting goals, developing capabilities, and raising the overall product craft bar.
  • Own the integrated roadmap and capacity plan: Maintain a company-level product roadmap across domains, reconcile priorities with engineering, data, and design capacity, and make sequencing decisions when demand exceeds available resources.
  • Drive cross-functional product operations: Establish and run planning sessions, monthly stage gates, cross-functional syncs, and quarterly planning mechanisms that keep Product, Engineering, GTM, Customer Success, and leadership aligned.
  • Own product metrics and operating rhythms: Define product metrics, instrumentation standards, dashboards, and review cadences that turn data into actionable decisions and connect domain-level performance to broader business outcomes.
  • Translate strategy into execution: Maintain strategy documents, OKRs, roadmaps, and other durable artifacts that connect company objectives with priorities and work planned over the next several quarters.
  • Lead competitive intelligence: Maintain an up-to-date view of workforce technology and emerging AI-native competitors, translating market developments into roadmap, positioning, and commercial implications.
  • Manage executive and external stakeholders: Serve as a key product contact for Engineering, Data, GTM, Customer Success, executives, customers, government agencies, and workforce partners, ensuring stakeholders have the right information at the right level of detail.
  • Support strategic decision-making: Translate complex roadmap, capacity, metrics, and market information into clear recommendations for executive and board-level discussions.
  • Improve product operations: Build the processes, tools, templates, documentation standards, and operating mechanisms required to keep the product development lifecycle efficient, predictable, and scalable.
  • Navigate changing priorities: Re-forecast and re-sequence plans as customer requirements, contracts, compliance needs, market conditions, or organizational priorities evolve while maintaining transparency and trust.
Requirements
  • People leadership experience: Proven experience directly managing and developing Product Managers, Technical Program Managers, designers, or comparable product professionals.
  • Company-level product ownership: Demonstrated ability to own an integrated product roadmap across multiple domains and reconcile product ambitions with actual engineering and data capacity.
  • Product operations expertise: Experience running cross-functional planning, executive updates, prioritization mechanisms, stage gates, quarterly planning, or similar operating cadences.
  • Strong metrics fluency: Ability to establish meaningful product metrics, instrumentation, dashboards, and review processes that actively influence decisions rather than simply report performance.
  • Strategic communication: Strong ability to translate company strategy into durable OKRs, roadmaps, strategy documents, and executive- or board-ready narratives.
  • Stakeholder management: Demonstrated success working across Engineering, Data, GTM, Customer Success, leadership, and external stakeholders, ideally including enterprise, government, or institutional customers.
  • Strategic and commercial judgment: Ability to evaluate competitive landscapes, understand market dynamics, and convert insights into product, positioning, and roadmap decisions.
  • B2B SaaS or relevant industry experience: Experience in B2B SaaS, govtech, workforce technology, or other complex multi-stakeholder platforms is preferred.
  • Customer and operator perspective: Experience working in environments where end users, buyers, administrators, and other stakeholders may have different needs and priorities is a strong advantage.
  • Leadership style: Humility, high agency, strong ownership, curiosity, and the ability to raise the bar while creating clarity and trust across teams.
  • Execution mindset: Comfortable operating in high-velocity environments where priorities can shift and problems require independent judgment, resourcefulness, and decisive action.
Conditions
  • Competitive compensation: USD $150,000 to $185,000 base salary for candidates based in United States.
  • Remote-first flexibility: Work remotely from anywhere in United States.
  • Generous paid time off: 4 weeks of PTO.
  • Health benefits: Comprehensive health benefits designed to support employee wellbeing.
  • Equity and growth opportunity: Opportunity to contribute to a growing SaaS/AI organization with meaningful impact.
