About the company
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Corporate Security Systems Engineer based in United States.
Responsibilities
- Own, deploy, configure, integrate, monitor, and continuously improve enterprise security technologies across EDR, SIEM, MDM, Zero Trust, identity, browser security, and SaaS environments.
- Establish secure configuration baselines for corporate systems and continuously identify, measure, and remediate configuration drift.
- Build API-driven, infrastructure-as-code, scripting, and workflow automations that reduce repetitive security operations and improve the consistency of control enforcement and evidence collection.
- Partner with Corporate IT and application owners to securely deploy and operate endpoints, applications, and SaaS platforms while maintaining appropriate security boundaries and technical controls.
- Improve security telemetry by integrating corporate applications and systems with centralized monitoring and ensuring relevant signals for vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and suspicious activity are available and actionable.
- Translate security and compliance requirements, including CMMC 2.0 and NIST-aligned controls, into practical technical implementations that can be continuously validated and supported with defensible evidence.
- Serve as a trusted technical owner for key components of the corporate security stack, maintaining a clear understanding of architecture, configuration, integrations, and security posture.
- Identify systemic security weaknesses and implement durable solutions rather than addressing individual findings in isolation.
- Improve the reliability and coverage of security controls and telemetry while reducing the manual effort required for audits, assessments, and recurring compliance activities.
- Work cross-functionally to communicate security risks, evaluate proposed configurations, and implement practical controls without losing sight of core security objectives.
Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in security engineering, enterprise security, systems security, or a closely related technical discipline.
- Demonstrated experience securing identity, SaaS, endpoint, or Zero Trust environments and understanding how configuration decisions influence enterprise security.
- Hands-on experience with security automation using REST APIs, webhooks, workflow automation platforms, infrastructure-as-code, scripting, or configuration-management technologies.
- Experience deploying, administering, or owning endpoint security and detection technologies such as EDR and SIEM platforms, including integrating security telemetry into centralized monitoring.
- Experience administering MDM or endpoint-management platforms and enforcing secure configurations and endpoint baselines.
- Strong ability to assess technical requirements from a security perspective, identify risks in proposed configurations, and collaborate effectively with technical teams to implement practical controls.
- Familiarity with enterprise security technologies such as CrowdStrike, Zscaler, Workspace ONE, Okta, Splunk, or comparable platforms.
- Experience implementing or supporting controls aligned with CMMC 2.0, NIST 800-53, CIS, STIGs, or similar security frameworks is highly valued.
- Experience integrating SaaS and security platforms through REST APIs, webhooks, GitHub Actions, Okta Workflows, or comparable automation technologies is preferred.
- Background securing regulated, government, defense, or other high-assurance corporate environments is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and technical ownership skills, with the ability to work independently while partnering effectively across teams.
Conditions
- Remote-friendly work environment designed to support distributed teams.
- Opportunities to work on consequential security challenges involving enterprise systems, automation, Zero Trust, and high-assurance environments.
- Professional growth through exposure to evolving security technologies, compliance frameworks, and modern security engineering practices.
- Opportunity to make a measurable impact on security resilience, automation, continuous control validation, and audit readiness.
- Collaborative environment with cross-functional exposure to Corporate IT, Security Operations, GRC, and application teams.
- Access to a broad and evolving technology ecosystem spanning endpoint security, identity, SIEM, MDM, SaaS security, Zero Trust, and automation.
